Established in the Fall of 2007, the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender Center provides educational programming for students, faculty, and staff regarding GLBT concerns in the NC State community. In addition to providing educational programming, our center strives to create a more welcoming and inclusive climate here on NC State’s campus. This is done through programs, events, community outreach, Project SAFE ally and Transgender 101 training, our Lunch and Learn series, a Speakers Bureau program, and our Coffee Talks weekly discussion group to name a few.
Our programs and services are available to all members of the NC State University and local community regardless of sexual orientation, and gender identity. Additionally, we aim to facilitate cross-cultural dialogue in an effort to break down the barriers that are responsible for discrimination.
Watch our calendar for upcoming events and programs. The calendar contains the most up to date and accurate information. Our calendar is also linked to our Facebook page.
Check out our Lunch and Learn Series. This series is open to anyone in the community and designed to share information on current events and generate discussion over lunch (12pm – 1:30pm). Come by and join us as we talk about topics that are important to the GLBT community. Mark your calendars now.
