We facilitate a variety of programs and events that occur throughout the year to promote awareness about issues facing the GLBT community. There is something for everyone. Some past programs/events included: HIV screenings, film showings, panel discussions, and social events. Through these programs and events we hope to educate the campus community and promote awareness.
Two signature events include our Annual Cabaret Variety Show that occurs in the fall and Lavender Graduation each year in May. GLBT-CA also hosts a drag show fund raiser each semester. In commemoration of National Coming Out day we distribute I Heart Diversity t-shirts on campus. The t-shirts have become coveted symbols of support for the GLBT community and can be seen all across campus.
There are many programs and events that happen on campus. One great resource to stay connected for information is the Office for Institutional Equity and Diversity (OIED). An expansive series of this nature would not be possible without the generous support of campus and community partners. We encourage everyone to attend!
